About This Community Service

This map displays flood reports submitted by residents of Volusia County, which are monitored for accuracy by data scientists at Clearview Geographic. However, these submissions may not encompass all flood events within the region. Community-sourced data should be used for general awareness and planning purposes only.

Locations of road closures are obtained from Volusia County EOC and public works department, as well as the Florida Highway Patrol. Reports of tornadoes, floods, flash floods, wind, and other storm events are authoritative sources from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

Live stream gauges within Volusia County are also highlighted, detailing real-time flood stage monitors. Impervious surfaces, building footprints, and city/county boundaries can also be viewed. The data within this map is updated every 5 minutes.
